The Fontana Mura Refuge is located in the Orsiera-Rocciavrè Natural Park, at the foot of Colle della Roussa, a pass that connects Val Sangone with Val Chisone.
Old mill renovated into a refuge and located at 1650 m. on the left orographic bank of the Chisone river, at the entrance of the Val Troncea Natural Park.
Along the dirt road that leads to the Selleries refuge, 1 km before the refuge (or 10' on foot), you pass near the Jouglard bergeria.
One of the huts present, owned by the Municipality of Roure, renovated by the Orsiera Rocciavrè Natural Park, has been equipped with a wood stove, tables and benches.
The shed is locked:
the keys are delivered at the headquarters of the Val Troncea Natural Park, upon reservation, accepting all the rules established by the regulations for use.
Structure rebuilt on the ruins of an old typical house, located in the heart of the Val Troncea Natural Park. It houses a large dining room and on the two upper floors we find the rooms, for a total of 40 beds.
High-altitude alpine refuge, located on the ridge between Val Chisone and Val Susa at an altitude of 2,570 meters. Open only in summer based on the opening period of the Assietta Road
In the heart of the Gran Bosco di Salbertrand Natural Park, facing a large panorama with the Gran Hoche, the Vallonetto, and the Seguret. The refuge is a stop on the Via Alpina, the GTA, and the Glorious Return of the Waldensians.
The refuge, according to tradition, was built on the place where Bonifacio Rotario d'Asti, who was the first to climb the summit of Rocciamelone in 1358, had built a shelter.
In 1419 the building would then be restored by order of Amedeo VIII of Savoy. There has been a chapel on the site since 1798. In 1974 the refuge was renovated.
Located at 2200 meters, the recently built building extends over a total surface area of 490 square meters and stands on two floors above ground.
It has rooms with reserved bathrooms for 18 people and two dormitories with 56 bunk beds.
