The Ca' d'Asti refuge is located at 2854 meters above sea level on the south-west ridge of Monte Rocciamelone. The hut is owned by the S. Giusto Parish of Susa.
The structure of the refuge is divided into two floors, which accommodate a complex of 80 beds in dormitories with bunk beds.
In addition to overnight accommodation, the refuge offers a bar and restaurant service, for which it is possible to stipulate breakfast and half board treatment formulas.
The Ca' d'Asti refuge is an ideal starting point for discovering the surrounding naturalistic territory with excursions, ascents and exciting crossings. These include those for the Vetta del Rocciamelone, for the path of the Two Thousand towards Mont Cenis and for the glacier and lake of Malciaussia.
From Susa take (signposted) the road that goes up to Urbiano, hamlet. of Mompantero; from here you continue on the former military road, asphalted for a good stretch, which allows you to reach, with a tortuous but very panoramic route, the ruins of the former fort La Riposa 2205 m (approximately 20 km from Susa).
Leaving the car, follow the path that winds along the wide and steep grassy slope; towards an altitude of 2400, lean to the right towards the bottom of a gully (Fontana Traversa, 2476 m) Bend to the left, returning to the ridge and climbing it again up to a rocky wall which you avoid on the right, reaching the summit where the Cà d' refuge stands Asti.
