Bergeria del Jouglard -

10060 Roure

Along the dirt road that leads to the Selleries refuge, 1 km before the refuge (or 10' on foot), you pass near the Jouglard bergeria.
One of the huts present, owned by the Municipality of Roure, renovated by the Orsiera Rocciavrè Natural Park, has been equipped with a wood stove, tables and benches.
Located on the roadside, near the park noticeboard, it is briefly called "Jouglard bivouac", although, as mentioned, it is not equipped with beds and mattresses for overnight stays.
The structure is always open, it is useful for shelter in case of bad weather or in case of emergency.
Those who use it are asked to respect some rules:

  • do not litter (and take your waste back with you);
  • do not damage the spartan furnishings, doors, signs, etc.;
  • do not leave food on tables or shelves (although correct for those who are in difficulty and pass after us, it will certainly be an attraction for mice and voles);
  • do not occupy all the space as much as possible but leave it to other users;
  • close the two doors upon departure;
  • for the rest we rely on the education and common sense of the users.

There is no drinking water nearby. The Rabiè fountain, uncontrolled water, is 800 – 900 meters away in the direction of Rifugio Selleries.
During the summer the bergeria welcomes a shepherd, we ask you not to hinder his activity or disturb the animals (sheep, horses, or herding or defense dogs).
