Eugenio Garoglio with Marco and Massimo Garvelli
On Saturday, May 2 at 9 PM in Exilles, at the Polivalente former barracks, Piazza Europa, presentation of the cahier of the Ecomuseum Colombano Romean No. 34 Vauban at the Forte di Exilles The last projects for the bastion of the Sun King in the Dauphiné "on this side of the mountains" edited by Eugenio Garoglio and Massimo Garavelli.
Last cahier published in the series of the Ecomuseum Colombano Romean, traces the history of the projects planned by Vauban for Exilles and the defense of the borders of the Upper Dora Valley in France before the Treaty of Utrecht, which sanctioned the cession to the Savoy.
Rich iconography and partly unpublished documents from the archives of the French army in Vincennes dating back to the late 1600s and early 1700s. It testifies to the extreme French attempt to defend the territories of the Dauphiné on this side of the mountains and the end of the Escartons.
