The activities for the culling of wild boar in the Protected Areas of the Cozie Alps are continuing. This is an activity introduced by the Regional Plan for Urgent Interventions adopted by the Piemonte Region following the appearance of African Swine Fever (ASF) in the regional territory at the beginning of 2022. The aim of the measures is to control the populations of the species Sus scrofa, even in areas where the virus is not yet present, with the goal of limiting its spread.

Traditionally, the refuge is the place where hikers and climbers are welcomed, where they can receive useful information about the weather conditions and the terrain they wish to explore, and where they can receive help in case of need. A recent initiative by the managers of the Onelio Amprimo refuge, in the Orsiera Rocciavré Natural Park, expands this concept because it provides concrete support not only to those who visit the mountains for leisure but also for scientific study purposes.

Dal mese di novembre la sede operativa del Parco naturale dei Laghi di Avigliana, sul Lago Grande, è interessata da lavori di efficientamento energetico (installazione cappotto termico e sostituzione infissi).

Per tale ragione, da metà ottobre 2026 il personale non è più presente negli uffici ed è contattabile solo via mail o telefono cellulare.
