After 5 intense years of work in the field and coordination of activities and actions, the final conference of LIFE WolfAlps EU, organized in Trento from May 17 to 19, marked the milestone of a project that since 2019 has been able to disseminate a wealth of scientific knowledge and informative tools on the coexistence between human activities and wolves in the Alps.

In early May, the first experimental fishing activities for European catfish were carried out on the Lago Grande di Avigliana as part of the European project Life Predator. Biologists and technicians from Biologické centrum AV ČR, a research institute of the Academy of Sciences in the Czech Republic, captured a total of 45 individuals of Silurus glanis using fishing techniques such as gillnets and electrofishing.
