Dino Tron

Dino Tron, a multi-instrumentalist, started at a very young age, in the mid-1980s, interpreting Occitan music, collaborating with folk groups and folk-revival formations in the Pinerolo area. In 1990, he joined Sergio Berardo and Riccardo Serra in the reestablishment of Lou Dalfin, one of the most renowned and long-lived Occitan music groups from the Cisalpine side. He has performed over 1500 concerts in Occitania and abroad and has numerous collaborations with groups such as Passacarriera, Bataclan, Fanfara Transalpina, Bal Occitan, and Occitan Orchestra. Today, he focuses his research on the sung, ceremonial, and dance repertoires of the Cisalpine Occitan area, with particular attention to the Valdesian Valleys and the Varaita and Vermenagna Valleys.
