A greeting to travelers - Flavio Giacchero and Marzia Rey
On Saturday, April 12, at 5 PM in Condove, Biblioteca M. Hack, Via Roma 1, Concert A Salute to Travelers with Flavio Giacchero and Marzia Rey.
Where can we find new and plural perspectives to narrate a story? This performance is a journey through voices and memories (Occitan, Franco-Provençal, French, Piedmontese) where each language, with its musicality, gives voice to different perspectives that allow us to speak of the past and the present. The title recalls the Macedonian epigraphs that along the paths offered a poetic wish to passersby.
In a suspended space created by drone music, instruments like bagpipes and saxophones converse with electronics to tackle universal themes: the figure of woman, war, migrations. An invitation to slow down and let ourselves be traversed by stories that look at today with ancient and deep eyes.
