Cover cahier no.33
On Saturday, February 8 at 9 PM in Chiomonte, at the Church of Santa Caterina, presentation of the cahier no. 33 of the Ecomuseum Colombano Romean Vauban in Alta Valle Dora History and protagonists of the last French fortifications of the Dauphiné "this side of the mountains," with Eugenio Garoglio and Massimo Garavelli.
Last research work of the ecomuseum with projects, memories, unpublished drawings, and defensive systems reported and presented with the same precision and care with which the clever Engineer Vauban drafted military projects for the King of France Louis XIV. The material was kept in the military archives of Vincennes near Paris and finds new light, allowing for the reconstruction of a scenario of the territory in the second half of the 1600s that is truly unexpected and could have defined a different history and designed other places, very different from those we know.
As part of the setwelfth edition of "Chantar l'Uvèrn. From Epiphany to Easter, fragments of the Occitan, Franco-Provençal, and French language and culture": the cultural festival that enhances original creations and promotes the Occitan, Franco-Provençal, and French language and culture through a rich and widespread territorial animation with musical, theatrical, anthropological, documentary, and environmental events.
