Sunday, July 27 at 9:30 AM in Salbertrand, headquarters of the Parks of the Cottian Alps, conference and visit to the butterfly garden with guide Simone Siviero from the Parks of the Cottian Alps: The Myths of Butterflies.

The names of butterflies (both their Latin and common names) often evoke deities and heroes from Greek mythology. During a theoretical lesson, we will try to describe the most common butterfly species in the Alps and immerse ourselves in the myths evoked by their names. Following this, there will be a visit to the Butterfly Garden at the Salbertrand Park headquarters: an opportunity to see butterflies live and attempt to identify them.

Location: Salbertrand Gran Bosco Park Headquarters, Salbertrand (TO)

Meeting: 9:30 AM at the Gran Bosco Park Headquarters, via Fransuà Fontan 1, Salbertrand. Once you arrive in Salbertrand, follow the brown signs to the Park headquarters and NOT the GPS.

Duration: Approximately 3 hours

Difficulty: Suitable for everyone

Price: 12 euros/person

What to bring: Hiking shoes, clothing appropriate for the season, a water bottle, a hat.
