La rivista “Contributions to Entomology” ha recentemente pubblicato un articolo scientifico basato su uno studio realizzato dal personale delle Aree Protette delle Alpi Cozie. La pubblicazione edita dal Senckenberg Deutsches Entomologisches Institut ha accettato il lavoro sottoposto da Davide Giuliano, guardiaparco, e Barbara Rizzioli, funzionaria dell’Area Biodiversità, con il titolo “Mini-round box as standardized sampling method for orthopterans in alpine and subalpine grasslands: a field study to highlight strengths and weaknesses”.

The mosquito project implemented by the Protected Areas of the Cozie Alps and the municipalities of Avigliana, Sant’Antonino di Susa, Trana, and Villardora is coming to a conclusion to raise awareness among the population about the issues related to the presence of culicids in the area of the Avigliana Lakes Natural Park and its surroundings.

Con gli eventi del Primo Maggio ad Avigliana si conclude l’edizione di Chantar l’Uvern 2025. Una XVI edizione che ha toccato ben 33 comuni, proponendo in 4 mesi quasi 100 eventi che hanno registrato una grande partecipazione di pubblico. Il finale con Tsant’an tsamin e FINAS RAITS, canti in lingua madre dal mondo.

Since April 1st, the Parks of the Cozie Alps can rely on a new Anti-Poison Dog Unit (UCA) in operation. The duo formed by park ranger Lorenzo Brino and his Australian shepherd Maya has passed the final exam, the security test that certifies the dog’s ability to intervene independently in poison search activities.

At the end of March 2025, an interesting scientific article on the seasonal migratory habits of the ibex in relation to climate change was published in the Journal of Animal Ecology. It is the result of a study at the alpine level that combines a large amount of data regarding the movements of 406 radio-collared ungulates with the climatic conditions of their habitats to analyze how the seasonal variations in snow coverage, peaks of growth and vegetation senescence, and average temperatures affect the strategies and timings with which ibex move from wintering sites to the slopes where they spend the summer season, and vice versa.

Un articolo scientifico curato da Luca Anselmo, biologo e ricercatore dell'Università di Torino, collaboratore dei Parchi Alpi Cozie, pubblicato nel mese di marzo sulla rivista Journal of Orthoptera Research riguarda i risultati dello studio sulla rara cavalletta di greto in Alta Valle di Susa.

The Giletta family has been raising cattle in Val Troncea for generations. Following a flood, the aqueduct that supplied water to the farm was destroyed.
The reconstruction takes place thanks to the dialogue between the Parks of the Cozie Alps and the family, experimenting with technical solutions that have improved the quality and quantity of water available for the livestock while minimizing impacts on the landscape and biodiversity, reconciling business needs with environmental protection.

Il prossimo mese di aprile porta ancora tanti eventi della rassegna "Chantar l'Uvèrn dall’Epifania a Pasqua, frammenti di lingua e cultura occitana, francoprovenzale e francese” che concluderà il suo lungo viaggio con un omaggio alle Lingue minori che sarà festeggiato ad Avigliana il 1° maggio. Il programma prevede ancora ben 27 eventi.
