The new scientific report "The Wolf Population in the Italian Alpine Regions 2023–2024" has been published, carried out as part of the European project LIFE WolfAlps EU. The study updates the picture of the distribution and population size of the wolf along the Italian alpine arch, providing data that are fully comparable to those from the previous national monitoring conducted in 2020–2021.
After 5 intense years of work in the field and coordination of activities and actions, the final conference of LIFE WolfAlps EU, organized in Trento from May 17 to 19, marked the milestone of a project that since 2019 has been able to disseminate a wealth of scientific knowledge and informative tools on the coexistence between human activities and wolves in the Alps.
On Saturday, August 17th at 9:00 PM at Rifugio Selleries in Roure, in the Orsiera Rocciavrè Park, there will be a thematic meeting with the park ranger Luca Giunti.
