The 2014 calendar is dedicated to recognizing the species of trees present in the four Parks of the Cottian Alps.
It is the first calendar of the Cottian Alps Parks. Since 2012, the Piemonte Region has unified the management of the Orsiera Rocciavré and Riserve Park, the Gran Bosco di Salbertrand Natural Park, the Val Troncea Natural Park, and the Avigliana Lakes Park under a single Management Authority for the protected areas of the Cottian Alps.
Trees represent a unifying topic between the glacial plain lakes, xerothermic steppe areas, and the great alpine peaks.
