In the territory of the Orsiera Rocciavré Natural Park and the Chianocco reserve, over 100 species of birds have been surveyed. Birds can be found in every environment: in forests, meadows, among the huts of ancient hamlets, on snowfields, and among rocks.

Many of these birds are migratory. In spring, these birds leave their wintering areas located, for most species, in central-southern Africa to come and reproduce in the mountains of the Park, where they find a short but resource-rich summer to raise their offspring.
