The Orsierà Rocciavré Park occupies a particular position in the Piedmont Alps: a fairly high and extensive massif overlooking the plain a few tens of kilometers from the city of Turin. This means that the Park's climate, at the same altitude, is more temperate than that of the more internal Alpine valleys. On the other hand, the Val Sangone sector of the protected area, the first bastion of mountains on the Piedmont plain, records a very high level of rainfall.
These climatic peculiarities, combined with the multiple exposure situations of the slopes and an altitudinal range of approximately 2000 m. they allow the development of a rich and varied flora, of which some species are reported.
