Today in our towns many patronal festivals with traditional elements have been lost, others have lost their deeper and original meaning, and yet others have successfully reinvented themselves. Certainly, the rites of passage from winter to spring are those that have animated all the alpine communities the most, and specifically, they are the ones that still today come to life between sacred and profane through ritual dances and traditional costumes of the festival. The origin of the figure of the Sword Dancer and their dance is unknown and lends itself to many fantasies. The rites of death and rebirth, the propitiation of the harvests, and subsequently the armed militia. Analysis and presentation of what still remains in vogue.
