Warnings
Educational activities are conducted by staff members and/or environmental hiking guides of the organization.
The guide never replaces the teacher of the class, who remains responsible for the students' behavior.
The educational materials provided for the activities must be used carefully and responsibly by the students following the guide's instructions. In case of loss or damage, the organization reserves the right to request reimbursement for the incurred damage.
The excursion in the territory of the Cozie Alps Parks requires appropriate clothing. It is recommended to: always wear long pants (to protect against brambles, punctures, thorns...), closed shoes - such as hiking shoes with non-slip soles (for safe walking on trails and to avoid slipping), backpack with a water bottle (sources of water are not always available along the routes), hat or cap depending on the season. It is also advisable to bring insect repellent (as outdoor activities may lead to insect bites).
During the excursion, photos may be taken by the organization and/or the guide. These images, of a general nature, may be used solely for promotional and communication purposes within their institutional activities.
The guides reserve the right to modify the scheduled activity in case of unfavorable weather or environmental conditions.
WARNING!
- The regulations for the use and enjoyment of the Natural Park of Gran Bosco di Salbertrand (Regional Law No. 16/1991 Art. 6, paragraph 1) and the Natural Reserve of Orrido di Chianocco (Regional Law No. 15/1990 Art. 2, paragraph 3) regulate visits for groups, school trips, and organized groups.
- Over the past years, the spread of ticks throughout Piedmont and the alpine region has been steadily increasing. The presence of wild and domestic animals favors their expansion, and climate change and rising temperatures, with milder winters, ensure a high survival rate.
Within the scope of scientific research activities, since 2015, the Management Entity of the Protected Areas of the Cozie Alps has initiated a collaboration with the Department of Veterinary Sciences of the University of Turin conducting a study on zoonotic agents transmitted by Ixodidae ticks, with a specific focus on Borrelia burgdorferi.
