The Casa degli Escartons “Alex Berton” allows you to discover the refined architecture that distinguishes this splendid corner of the Cottian Alps.
The skilful use of stone and wood, finely worked and combined, highlights the knowledge and technical skills of the master builders of the past.
The spaces were organized according to a simple and practical scheme, typical of traditional houses: the stable, the kitchen and the cellar on the lower floor, the rooms on the central floor with the barn above the stable, the cereal storage rooms in the attic.
In winter the main space became the stable where, thanks to the animal warmth, the family could gather, carry out daily tasks and pass down knowledge from generation to generation.
Purchased by the Park, the building lives a second youth.
