Colombano 500: final event of the 2026 season

After a summer of meetings, shows, walks, cinema, exhibitions, and cultural initiatives that recorded a great public participation, Colombano 500 returns to where its journey began: at the Forte di Exilles.

On Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 3 PM at the Forte di Exilles, the final event of the 2026 Colombano 500 program will take place, a project designed to celebrate the 500 years since the start of the Pertus works by Colombano Romean.

The Colombano 500 project is a wide program of cultural, scientific, and artistic initiatives promoted by the Municipality of Exilles and carried out in collaboration with ArTeMuDa APS and local realities. It will not only be an opportunity to review the initiatives carried out during 2026 but, above all, to look beyond the anniversary and question the relationship between alpine communities, the territory, and the transformations of the mountain, putting history, culture, environment, and new generations in dialogue.

Program:

The afternoon will open with a particularly significant moment: the official ceremony of the stamp cancellation of the special postal mark from Poste Italiane, created for the 500th anniversary of the start of the Pertus works. This will be followed by institutional greetings and a recount of the journey undertaken by Colombano 500 over these months.

The program will continue with the musical reading “The Echo of the Chisel” by the actors of VAN-Verso Altre Narrazioni, the intervention by Enrico Camanni “The Transformed Mountain,” the launch of the photography and literary contests, followed by the talk “The Transformed Mountain: an intergenerational dialogue between Enrico Camanni and Stefano Ditella (geologist, member of Fridays for Future),” curated by Radio Tempo Profondo.

To conclude, there will be Occitan music and dances with the Parenaperde.

There will also be discussions about the inclusion of the Pertus among the Places of the Heart of FAI, an initiative that opens a new possibility for the enhancement and knowledge of this exceptional historical and environmental heritage.

It will be an opportunity to reunite after a summer rich in meetings, shows, walks, cinema, and cultural initiatives, but also to look beyond the celebrations of the five-hundredth anniversary and continue building new opportunities for knowledge and enhancement of the Pertus and the territory.
