Cecilia Lasagno and Paola Bertello - show Minima Floralia

On Sunday, February 23rd at 5 PM in Sauze di Cesana, Church of San Giacomo, a popular concert by Cecilia Lasagno and Paola Bertello Minima Floralia, a walk in an ancient garden takes us on a journey to discover forgotten languages and stories, which, like flowers, herbs, and plants, will guide us with their evocations and aromas.

Imagine a garden: blades of grass alternate with flowers of different heights and shapes. Some have buds, others are in full bloom, while others are fading, leaving the remnants of their past glory on the ground. Each has a color, each has a scent, unique and unrepeatable.
The concert is like this: in the same musical ground, there are pieces that come from different countries and spread different languages in the air. Like in a medieval garden of delights, the musical dialogue begins with praises for the wonders of Creation composed by the prodigious Hildegard of Bingen. One traverses beds of Sefardic songs and ballads from Gaelic Scotland, the repertoire of the Cantigas de Santa Maria, and the dances that lightened the heart and freed the soul. Among aromatic paths of past songs, which saw the plant world as inspiration for symbols, medicines, and balms, like ingredients in recipes and magical preparations, we cross modern flowerbeds that draw from tradition to sing the unchanging nature of human experience across the centuries and distances, and we arrive at the present. The current moment is for the spectator part of the eternal becoming, which, as perfectly represented by plants, goes from seed to sprout, then plant, flower, and fruit, which again gives the seed: the beginning and end of the tireless carousel of life.

As part of the stenth edition of "Chantar l'Uvèrn. From Epiphany to Easter, fragments of Occitan, Franco-Provençal, and French language and culture": the cultural review that enhances original creations and promotes the Occitan, Franco-Provençal, and French language and culture through a rich and extensive territorial animation with musical, theatrical, anthropological, documentary, and environmental events.
