The structure is open in the summer period from 1 June to 31 October.
Driving along the access road to the park that rises from the municipality of Villar Focchiardo, after a few kilometers you find yourself in front of an imposing building in a setting of pastures and woods: it is the Certosa di Montebenedetto which thanks to its history can certainly be counted as one of the most important monuments of the Susa Valley and a notable prestige for the Orsiera Rocciavrè Park which includes it within its borders.
The Foresteria, which is located within the Certosa di Montebenedetto complex, is an excellent support point for hikers visiting the Orsiera Rocciavrè Natural Park and a center for environmental education activities intended for school groups, groups and associations.
Currently the Certosa di Montebenedetto consists of the buildings described and approximately ninety hectares of pasture and woodland.
During the summer months it is used by the herdsman to run the farm and by the Park Authority to promote cultural tourist events.
By the organisation, a permanent exhibition has also been set up in the church which illustrates the Carthusian world and the history of the charterhouse, while in the immediate circumstances a "self-guided" path was created with the description of the various buildings surrounding the church of which , as already highlighted, only a few traces remain.
