The 2017 calendar of the Parks of the Cottian Alps is dedicated to the wolf and the European project LIFE WOLFALPS.
The LIFE WOLFALPS Project "The wolf in the Alps: coordinated actions for wolf conservation in key areas and throughout the entire Alpine arc" was co-financed by the European Union within the 2007-2013 programming "Nature and Biodiversity" to carry out coordinated actions for the long-term conservation of the alpine wolf population.
The project has identified functional strategies to ensure a stable coexistence between the wolf and traditional economic activities, both in territories where the wolf has long been present and in areas where the natural recolonization process is ongoing.
