The Alpi Cozie Parks manage two Forest Offices, in the Valley of Susa, in Avigliana at the headquarters of the Natural Park of the Avigliana Lakes and in Val Chisone, Pragelato at the headquarter del Parco naturale Val Troncea, which are available to users to provide information in the forestry sector and allow access to services set up by the Region.

The Forest Offices are responsible for:

  • providing information regarding forest management, conservation measures to be respected within the “Natura 2000 Network Areas”, regulations on “Fire Ignition” and adherence to the rules in place during the peak periods of wildfire danger;
  • providing information regarding rules and procedures for timber cutting;
  • conducting site inspections and facilitating access to services and documentation prepared by the Region;
  • drafting simple communication requests for the activity of timber cutting;
  • managing procedures for new registrations and annual renewals to the Register of forestry companies;
  • providing information to professionals about courses organized by the Piedmont Region for forestry operators, and on access opportunities to Rural Development Plans.

The forestry offices of the Piedmont Region constitute a widespread network throughout the regional territory made up of 60 offices managed by over 140 office staff and represent a direct access point to all information, documentation, and forms related to forestry.
