Saturday, March 7 at 3 PM in Pragelato La jòi e lo jovent: Scenarios for the future of Occitania tomorrow through the youth cultural action of today.

At the Val Troncea Natural Park Headquarters in Pragelato, Viale della Pineta, Fraz. Ruà a meeting between young Occitanists and researchers on the general states of the Occitan language and activism to understand the current state of the language, its enhancement, and today’s imagery for the future of Occitania.
Welcoming speakers and presentation of their works:
Chambra d’òc - The contemporary use of Occitan supported by institutions within the framework of Law 482/99 “Regulations for the protection of historical linguistic minorities”.
Eliana Tourtet - Vice President of I.E.O. brings greetings from Greater Occitania.
Andrea Celauro - L’Aisonenc, ethnolinguistic dictionary of Aison Occitan.
Aline Pons - Occitan courses at the University of Turin.
Quentin Garnier - Phonology of Occitan from Aut-Vivarés.
Emilien Sallard - Faith, identity, and mountain towards Occitan (language and Vaud community)
Quentin Peyras - Categorization of allophonic alternations of type [s]/[j] in Gascon, Languedocian, and Alpine Occitan.
Agnès Garrone - Variations and linguistic contact in Conés.
Alice Champollion - What activism today for Occitan.
Moderator: Matteo Rivoira (University of Turin)
During the day, Eliana Tourtet, Vice President of the Espaci occitan dis Aups, will propose a stand of book publications in Occitan.

9 PM dance concert with the musical group UCH at Casa Pragelato, P.za Pragelatesi nel Mondo

The "UCH" in the Occitan language is the cry of joy, that bright shout produced by those swept away by the euphoria of dance. The trio offers a performance linked to the use of the drone of traditional Occitan instruments intertwined with electronic arrangements to animate the folk dances of the regions of Occitania with hypnotic and dystopian atmospheres.
