Time 14:00-15:30 - Integrated strategies for sustainable tourism: the experiences of the Cinque Terre and Stelvio National Parks
During the webinar, integrated strategies for safe and sustainable hiking tourism experienced in the Cinque Terre National Park and the research and monitoring of flows carried out in the Stelvio National Park will be shared.

Organized by the Protected Areas of the Cozie Alps.

Topic: Emblematic territories of the Italian landscape, the national parks of Cinque Terre and Stelvio have seen their appeal grow with the increase in tourist visits.

This tourism presents new challenges in terms of conservation, safety, and the quality of the visitor experience. In response to these challenges, the two parks have initiated a series of innovative actions, including an in-depth analysis of tourist flows that integrates pricing, site management, and access methods.
This webinar offers a preliminary account of the measures taken to promote more sustainable tourism in the Cinque Terre and Stelvio. It will present preliminary results of the various devices implemented in these two territories, as well as key lessons for reconciling landscape protection, visitor management, and territorial appeal.
