The song of the forest by Irene Borgna
Sunday, March 22 at 4 PM in Mattie at the Multipurpose Hall, Via Roma 2, The Song of the Forest. A true story of women, woods, and courage, brought to life in the tale with Irene Borgna.
A delicate story set in Val Chisone at the end of the 1800s, when the inhabitants of a small village – especially the women – manage to stop the felling of the centuries-old larch forest that protects the settlement. “The Song of the Forest” is a theatrical reading written and performed by Irene Borgna. Twenty-six original watercolors by Silvia Benetollo give form and color to the tale, according to the traditional Japanese technique of Kamishibai, the "paper theater."
Concept, written, and performed by Irene Borgna.
