An ancient variety, already known at the end of the 19th century in the Alta Valle Susa area, passed down through the family, it is now at risk of extinction.
It has an ivory colored pod with small-medium sized seeds with colors (white, brown) that form a very characteristic design.
A peculiarity of this legume is that even the pod is edible.
Once upon a time it was customary to make a soup with the pods or boil the beans to make a salad to take as lunch in the countryside during summer work.
