The n.9 of Avvoltoi Piemonte, the information sheet dedicated to the observations of bearded vulture, griffon vulture, and monk vulture in the Western Alps in the second half of 2024, edited by Giuseppe Roux Poignant, created by Andrea Abbà with graphic design and data representation by Matteo Bruno, is available for download online.

"In the second half of 2024" writes Giuseppe Roux Poignant "we have archived on the International IBM Database portal 215 observations of Bearded Vulture (Gypaetus barbatus). The annual total of archived reports is 461, thus reaching the highest number of observations recorded since we joined the international IBM observation network back in 2008. This data is certainly influenced by the presence of a territorial pair of vultures that has certainly increased the frequency of encounters, but also by the continuous increase in the presence of vultures of all age classes in the territories included in the valleys of Susa, Chisone, Pellice, and Germanasca."

Happy reading!
