Tulle Curtain
On Saturday, February 14 at 9 PM in Gravere at the Sicheri municipal hall, there will be a dance concert with the Parenaperde.
The Parenaperde propose traditional music from the upper Dora Valley: The enthusiasm of being able to present live popular music from the alpine tradition, shared with a group of dancer friends, has led to the realization of this project, bringing sounds from the past back to our valleys. The proposed musical repertoire selects music and dances from the Alta Valle di Susa and the entire Occitan area, with particular attention to the French transalpine valleys, which are rich in traditional listening and dancing music.
The Parenaperde have collaborated with the ArTeMuDa Association and in particular with Renato SIbille on the projects “Vira’ virandole” and “To make good music, always play,” producing two publications accompanied by audio CDs containing an unpublished collection of music and songs from the tradition in Alta Valle Susa.
By the way, “pa ren a perdere” in the local patois means…nothing to lose!
