Valsusa DOC

The vineyards of Chiomonte and Exilles, located on ancient terraces of dry stone walls, are the highest in Piedmont, at an altitude varying between 750 m and 1000 m.
Among others, two ancient native vines are cultivated: Avanà and Becouet with red grapes.

The Valsusa Designation of Origin is reserved for red wines obtained from Avanà, Barbera, Dolcetto and Neretta Cuneese grapes, processed alone or jointly for at least 60% and for the remaining 40% from other vines recommended and authorized in the Province of Turin. Valsusa DOC wine is generally intense, characteristic, with evident fruity notes; the flavor is dry, harmonious, acidic, moderately tannic, sometimes with a slight hint of wood.

Ice wine

In the vineyards of Chiomonte, where the dry and ventilated climate and the very cold night temperatures favor it, the Ice Wine is produced.
The grapes are left on the shoots until winter, the harvest is done at minus 8°, usually at night or early in the morning, manually, as is tradition and as required by the specifications. The wine has a pink color and golden hues and is proposed as a "meditation wine".

In it the aromas of exotic fruit alternate with notes of dried fruit, toasted aromas, honey, enhanced by the pleasant freshness and marked sweetness.
