On Friday, June 12, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the BiodivTourAlps project offers a webinar titled "Visitor Access in Protected Natural Areas of the Alpine Arc: Understanding Flows and Impacts on Biodiversity".
The program:
- Characterization of visitation and comparison among 12 protected Alpine areas in France and Italy, by Victor Cazalis (Conservara) and the Écrins National Park
- Prediction of trail attendance based on historical flow data and weather forecasts, case study of the Écrins National Park by Julien Rohaut and Marc Lagenbach (University of Grenoble-Alpes)
- Studies on interactions between outdoor enthusiasts and biodiversity: overview of 14 case studies and tools developed as part of the BiodivTourAlps project
- The effects of summer motorized traffic on biodiversity: the case of the Assieta Road in Piedmont, by Luca Maurino (Protected Areas of the Cozie Alps).
