Courenta Inside: documentary screening and dance workshop

On Saturday, March 15 at Pragelato at 5 PM, in the gym on National Road 65, Courente workshop from the Valli di Lanzo organized by Proloco Lou Magnaut, with live music, and experts in ethnomusicology and ethnocoreutics,, followed by the documentary by Andrea Fantino Courenta Dentro at Casa Escartons in Frazione Rivets.

A chance to deepen the discussion of traditional music and dances in the Valli di Lanzo.

In the Valli di Lanzo, the Courenta is not just any dance: it is the dance that everyone has within themselves, in one way or another. The Courenta Mai festival has brought Courenta dancers in front of the mirror, to see each other, to confront one another, and with the audience that came to learn the numerous variants. With the awareness that cultures and traditions remain alive as long as they have the strength to open up to others, to take risks and continue to grow, introducing new elements and experimenting with different forms of participation.
