On Saturday, March 1, in Giaglione at 3 PM, screening of the docufilm Ambin. The Rock and the Feather by Fredo Valla, at the Civic Library, in San Giuseppe n.1, CeSDoMeO headquarters.

Exploring it, Ambin reveals the consciousness of our present. A reflected image in the memories of our past. It reveals an obstacle, a stumbling and transit mountain on the paths of man: a barrier and a junction. A hostile place and of hostility, of fortresses and cannons pointed, but also of peaceful sports, of explorations of glaciers and peaks, and of woods and cows, milk and cheese. In its memory of stone and ice, in its vastness, Ambin, burned by these times of climate change, preserves the image of armies and cavalry leaders, even of elephants, and passages of saints, artists, popes… and days of sun, wind, snow, storms, and avalanches, of ancient seas, and of pilgrims traveling… of burnt colors, of sun, of water, of dryness, of smugglers, hunters, fugitives, and migrants… of animals that survived in legend and memory. Even of the meeting (and clash) of languages: Occitan, Franco-Provençal, Italian, French, and Piedmontese. Vast mountain, Ambin: of open borders, of closed borders… because Ambin is, it is not… because Ambin is… the mountain of complexities.
