How do animals and plants perceive the changing of seasons? How do they prepare to face winter? When and why are they ready to sprout or come out of hibernation in spring? What resources does the territory offer them to survive in different times of the year?

Description

Through expanding sensory knowledge and observing the environment, we will discover how nature presents different landscapes to engage with in each season. We will seek to understand how animals and plants perceive the passing of seasons and how they prepare to face winter or are ready to sprout and emerge from hibernation in spring. We will identify the resources that the territory offers them to survive in different periods of the year.

Methodology

The walk in the Natural Park of Val Troncea will allow us to talk about the alpine environment and its inhabitants.

It is possible to visit the Park's Visitor Center with its dioramas and exhibits.

Topics will be addressed through explanations, games, and experiments.

Optional preliminary intervention in the classroom of 2 hours.
