It is reported that the Municipality of Avigliana has prohibited access to the cycle-pedestrian bridge crossing the Rio Meana between Lake Piccolo and Lake Grande in the Avigliana Lakes Natural Park. The measure was implemented via ordinance no. 29 on February 19, 2025, due to public safety reasons, as it is no longer possible to guarantee safe crossing on the wooden bridge. For all those who walk the trails along the lakes, a short detour along via Giaveno and via Pinerolo is sufficient, allowing them to bypass the closed bridge without interrupting the loop around Lake Piccolo.
