L’Ente di gestione delle aree protette delle Alpi Cozie ha aderito al bando “2022 – PSR 2014-2020 – Operazione 7.1.2. Stesura ed aggiornamento dei Piani naturalistici - Bando 2017 Seconda fase di attuazione” con cui ha ottenuto un finanziamento di complessivi € 129.588,80 finalizzato alla redazioni di 3 strumenti di pianificazione naturalistica per i seguenti Siti appartenenti alla Rete Natura 2000

Il progetto monitora una serie di gruppi animali, con l’obiettivo di identificare e documentare i cambiamenti che possono avvenire nel corso del tempo, come conseguenza dei cambiamenti globali; inoltre, mira ad approfondire le conoscenze su taxa poco studiati, quali i ragni, e ad analizzare la distribuzione della biodiversità lungo gradienti ambientali e altitudinali, anche al fine di individuare specie e habitat più vulnerabili ai cambiamenti ambientali e climatici e attuare di conseguenza opportuni modelli gestionali.

Il monitoraggio di un grande veleggiatore come il gipeto ha bisogno di una rete informativa di dimensione alpina che richiede la collaborazione di tutti i frequentatori della montagna. I giovani gipeti rilasciati sono provvisti di marcature alari (decolorazioni bianche delle penne delle ali) e anelli colorati alle zampe; per questo motivo sono molto utili per l'esatta identificazione dei singoli individui fotografie e video.
