On Saturday 24 February 2024, at the headquarters of the Gran Bosco di Salbertrand Natural Park, the cahier n.32 of the Colombano Romean Ecomuseum entitled "ARCADIA ALPINA - Customs of the Upper Susa Valley" will be presented to the public. The heart of the work, edited by Renato Sibille, is the period novel by Professor Enrico Cavalier Faure.

The text, found by chance, depicts a cross-section of life in the Upper Susa Valley, in particular between Chiomonte, Bardonecchia and Sauze d'Oulx, the birthplace of Maestro Enrico Faure. The original book was published in 1926, ten years after the recognition obtained with the Bronze medal at the Rivoli Exposition of 1906.

To better appreciate the narrative, during the evening, the reading of some pages of the text will be presented, staged by the actors of ArTeMuda, a recognized cultural association, already a partner of the Ecomuseum for many initiatives, thus reliving what was already experienced in 2009 on the occasion of the cultural festival Chantar l'Uvern, when "vigils" dedicated to the novel were organized, taking the listener back in time, to the mid-nineteenth century.

The publication of interesting anthropological value contains over 200 text notes with information, explanations or illustrations, sometimes even funny, to contextualise and understand it better, all completed by the glossary which contains less common, antiquated, obsolete words or particular meanings used by Enrico Faure.

For the creation of the cahier the Ecomuseum obtained the full collaboration of the Municipality of Sauze d'Oulx and the Alta Valle di Susa Forestry Consortium which will participate in the event. Subsequently, the cahier may be proposed on other meeting occasions in the Municipalities of the Valley.
